Wiggin' out!

Never in a million years did I think that I would say this but I am really digging wearing wigs!!!!

Here is my latest wig. I forgot the name of it but it came from the Beauty supply store and it was about 40 bucks or less. Here is what it looked like before we cut it...

And here is what it looks like now; 2 weeks later.

I'm sick and this was the best front picture in my opinion. LOL.

Spring Cleaning Tips with Natural Products

I love using the products in the above photo for spring cleaning. They are good natural products and you can use them to clean a lot things. Recently I used vinegar and baking soda to sanitize my son's mattress. It works great for treating stains. I also like to use peroxide for when he has a nose bleed. (Some little kids get those from time to time and mine happens to be one of them.) I also love to use baking soda to deodorize the carpet as well throw into a load of laundry. I use vinegar to clean the windows and the mirrors.

So do you have any more spring cleaning tips?

Lemon Water and its benefits

Some of the Benefits of Lemon Water:

1. Balances pH

2. Helps with weight loss

3. Aids digestion

4. Is a diurectic: This is the main reason why I started drinking lemon water. I've been drinking a lot of water lately and I have been having a lot of water retention. Ever since I got pregnant with my son; I have suffered from Edema. (Being overweight does not help either.)I want to get healthy and I am tired of having swollen legs and feet. Exercising is one way that I am combatting this and drinking lemon water is something that I have started today. I had no idea that there were so many other reasons that I should be drinking it. I hope to make lemon water a part of my daily regimen.

Product Review: Aphogee Two-Step Protein Treatment

Whew! This stuff stinks to high heavens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it works :-)

This unique treatment is formulated with magnesium and modified proteins which fuse into the hair with the application of heat.  The result is that breakage is drastically reduced.  ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment is a salon service product unlike any product available for at-home use.  During the process, ApHogee treatment hardens into the hair, dramatic evidence that something special is occurring. For best results a hooded dryer is required. After rinsing and moisturizing with ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer, clients are astounded with the results.  ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment can help improve other salon services as well.  This remedial process is highly recommended for hair that:
  • Is too weak or fine to take a perm or relaxer. (use the week PRIOR to service)
  • Is over-bleached.
  • Will not hold color. (use PRIOR to color application)
  • Breaks when combed or brushed.
  • Is mushy when wet and brittle after drying.

I used this product because my hair felt different. It did not feel strong; it felt soft and was shedding. After using this product my hair felt strong and my natural curls popped more. Even my stylist felt and saw the difference when she braided my hair. I will use this product whenever my hair needs a protein treatment.
This product is recommended every 6 weeks but I will monitor my hair to see if I can go longer than that. I bought the aphogee 2 minute reconstructor to use between treatments.

Overall this is a wonderful product. I like it when I was relaxed and I still like it now that I am natural.

I am not an expert in haircare/beauty and etc. I simply blog about what works for ME and what I like or dislike. Also I DO NOT NORMALLY measure when I cook. I AM an expert in Business as I have mastered that field but I will not be giving advice on personal business unless it is general info such as how to improve your credit. That answer is to simply pay your bills on time and do not over spend. Always buy what you can pay back... lol.
